Not Happy with the Product, Not happy with the Company!!!, August 30, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 1000 lb Double Dual Motorcycle Dirt Bike Carrier Hauler Rack Bought this rack with the hopes of being able to take 2 scooters with us when we go camping in our RV. Currently my wife has a small 125cc scootter and I am in the process of restoring an old Vespa, but still many months away before it is finished.
The first issue with this rack is it says it will carry 2 motorcycles, which maybe so, I can only guess if the handle bars are removed, because the spacing between the 2 runners (what the bikes sit on) are so close together it would be a very hard fit 2 dirk bikes side by side. Realized immediately that there is only enough room for one scooter, scooters by nature are much wider than a dirt bike becuase of the floor boards.
Second issue is when you insert the carrier into the reciever, there is so much play that the whole carrier rocks back and forth.

The amount of movement from side to side is completely unacceptable! I am in complete disbelief that this company can sell this as a legal source of transportation. If the bikes were to stay on carrier while traveling, the amount of damage to the bikes or to your vehicle would be extensive. As soon as I contacted the seller they said they would return the item with no problem but asked me to take down my negative comments that I had posted. I took them down immediately and was told they would in fact return it but I would be responsible for the return shipping fees as well as the shipping fees to my home. $120 for shipping for an item that is faulty and unsafe. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!! When I emailed them questions, they just kept replying the same thing...." buyer is responsible."
